Get More Out of Sun Power in Order to Keep the Environment Clean

You will help keeping the environment clean if you don`t use electricity generated by burning gas or oil to generate heat but instead have a solar panel on your roof Everybody agrees that sun power is one of the best ways to obtain alternative energy in a relative cheap and easy way.
Once you set up some construction, with a one time investment, you will have a constant supply of energy.
- Obtain hot water by collecting heat with a construction of long water pipes in the form of an accordion on your roof. The water that warms up flowing through the pipes will be led to an isolated tank and can be used for showering and washing clothes.
- You can also put a panel on your roof which converts the sunlight into electricity.
Those panels are made of photovoltaic cells, that can charge up batteries. These batteries can be used to switch on lightbulbs and electric devices.
- A third way is to concentrate the sun power with the use of parabolic mirrors and lenses and heat up water pipes. The amount of heat can be so great that it will boil the water that flows through the pipes and the steam that comes free can be used to activate an electric generator. This is called solar thermal electricity.
Although the last method is more applied in big power plants, the other methods are already available for home use. Complete panels and systems for catching sun power are sold but those can still cost you quite a bit of money, which will take you a long time to recover before you actually start saving money by using sun power.
If you are a little bit handy you can make a working device using material from your local hardware store. You can also use for your construction pieces of material, like pipes and pieces of wood that are only collecting dust in your garage and put them to function, collecting sunlight and convert sun power into electricity or make it warm up water.
You can even "help" your neighbours by asking them to give you their left over material.
it will clean up their garage, they will be happy and provide you with more parts that you can use for building your sun power panel.
Your house will be running on clean energy generated by your own power plant. The use of sun power in this way helps to save the environment from pollution and saves you money as well.
